CAUSE-EFFECT
That stupid cause-effect phenomenon.
It works like a clockwork doesn't it?
The same stimulus will always produce the same effect.
Like for example seeing a cockcroach. Then screaming your head off.
Or eating chips. Then getting a sore throat.
This phenomenon, it makes you predictable. Weak, vulnerable.
I'm trying not to get sucked in.

Oh a funny thing happened on thursday.
i went to the library to find kelly,
then suddenly i saw this whole bunch of Projectwork displays.
So i thought to myself:
oh drat. All these idiots got their pw displayed huh. No fair, how come no teacher came to ask us to display ours! hmph
Then i walked closer to inspect the PWs and lo and behold! There was this really familiar one and then i realised it was ours. HAHAHA.
My dear yellow ducks rock(: Seems that having meetings at orchard and watching world cup at the same time is pretty effective (:

Thoughts
Yesterday a girl from our dance syf team fell.
She hurt herself pretty bad. And with SYF coming in less than two weeks time,
she won't be dancing for it.
Makes you think doesn't it?
How all that hard work and sweat can end up like that.
I feel sorry for her, very much. But that's not all.
For having the courage to give it up and to accept reality.
She deserves our respect too.
This reminds me of OBK.
Remember what they said?
Sure it takes courage to continue up the mountain knowing that it might be dark soon and you may not make it.
But it takes greater courage to turn around and walk back.

melancholy
hmmm.
Its been a depressing two days i suppose.
Yesterday i got home from dance late. And dead tired.
When i say dead tired, i mean dead tired.
It was the all-im-gonna-do-is-take-a-hot-shower-and-sleep sorta mood.
But could i? oh no. Not at all.
Because YOU wanted to have some stupid crappy gossip session/time-wasting talks when i simply wasn't up to it.
I know its hard, you want someone to relate new family gossips to and whatnots.
But did that give you the right to scream at me and slap me saying you hated it when i gave you that tired im not interested attitude?
Because i honestly was tired.
Tired enough to give up a night of mugging just to sleep.
Would you consider yourself reasonable then?
And when i broke down. from sheer frustration and tiredness and stress,
the only "comfort" i get is the threat of being slapped again if i don't stop.
Maybe its just me. or YOU. or whatever.
Life is seriously screwed.
Today was demoralising. We got back disappointing econs.
Ms heng scolded us quite a bit.
But i guess we deserved as much.
She woke us up.
Made us write this target thing for CT2.
I wrote C but she made me change it to a B.
okaayy. Its time to seriously work hard.
Would hard work be enough though?
I don't know really. Its been a year and a quarter gone.
And my results are still as atrocious as ever.
And working terribly hard isn't exactly an option either.
There's so many things going on. So much to do.
Even finding the time to do tutorials is nothing short of a miracle.

Syf's gonna end in 14days which also means feeling less tired and higher muggabililty.
Its my dad's bdae (happy birthday dad!) and i had a fun time walking around uh SINGPOST (haha) trying to get a present
Me planning to go do my tutorial NOW. and then printing lignum notes which would mean two strikes off my to-do list in one night.
Oh. and mr tan's treating councilexco to fish and co tml. (but it may be a bad point if dance ends late and i cant make it)

wet socks
wet socks
today i woke up telling myself, its such a hot day.
Shall lay off bringing my usual jacket to school since i only have one LT5 lecture anyway.
Uh huh.
Ended up getting caught in this huge storm at newton mrt.
and the group of us actually decided to brave the storm to get to the unsheltered bus stop so we wont be late.
but we ended up late anyway. grrr.
how annoying.
The same thing happened last monday.
Next time every monday, i'll bring jacket, umbrella, spare socks (wet socks are gross) and clothes. haha.
oh i acutally completed my SPA.

Cheese fries are really good.
Especially after a sweaty tiring dance prac (:
hmmm. i'm starting to think im becoming quite accident prone.
today i accidentally jabbed my arm into the elbow socket.
and jo had to help me pull it out sort of.
you could hear the socket sound. HAHA.
and yesterday it was my ankle.
and last week i got whacked on the head.
and the week before whacked on the lip.
HAHA.
i see an annoying little trend.
oh. the dance isn't complete still.
I'm not looking forward to wednesday's reveal then.
SPA tml. hopefully i actually complete this one.
Can't afford to fail another. tata.

my right ankle's hurting.
and i just realised belatedly that we didn't warm up before dance prac yesterday.
Quite by accident, i reread one of my msn conversation history today.
Yes theBOY, that conversation.
haha. it still feels surreal up till now actually.
and quite hilarious.
I actually saved it under "funny"
and today i wondered what in the world that file was.
now i know (:
today's a weird day.
busy calling up half the council to ask them if they're free tml.
and tuition was demoralising. (thanks to my U grade)
winston commented that im unstable today.
HAHA. and now here i am trying to choose a shade of orange for lignum for the years to come.
*grin* the emotionally unstable one might just end up choosing a putrid shade of orange (:

Extra dance practice today.
Cancelled tuition for it
Missed an outing with aneesa and disha
Couldn't go for dinner with kenneth
and missed perhaps some good mugging time.
But you know what's gonna make it all worthwhile?
Double gold with honours.
Jiayou guys.
today's dance prac was a complete killer.
Kept doing the same thing over and over again,
and ended up looking really sweaty and unglam.
haha. mskoh was right about what she said last pe.
cause the first few girls who ran in were me and 3 other dance girls from the various dances,
so she said: dancers are quite fit generally eh (:
After today's killer prac, i must say, i know why we stay fit already.
LOL.
oh i got back math today.
can i say im pleasantly surprised that i broke my U streak from last year?
oh but my U streak for physics is still holding strong.
but i'll break it at CTs next term. i promise (:

today was a happy day.
We had a surprising number of free periods today thanks to absent teachers.
Felt like first three months all over again as we slacked our time away at the round tables.
and did stupid things.

Did some reminicsing with Shubha and Sum about first 3 months days.

so yes, after this i promise i shall go do complex numbers.
celebrated half day today by... dancing.
haha yes, we had dance.
after which me jo aidan and kailun went out to eat to "celebrate" halfday properly.
LOL.
We walked past this gelato ice cream place called SWIRLS.
its new and pretty and pinnky/purplish so we decided it looked nice and inviting (:
ate nice gelato, and ermm starting talking about stuff that we promise shall be between the 4 of us so nope, i aint telling (:
the boys were still hungry (!!) so we went to Mad Jacks for more food.
oh my, kailun the crazy guy ate some banana ice cream thing which is really weird after coming straight from an icecream palour huh.
haha.
oh yes.
Im really glad that Wanling and Zhili are now back in LIGNUM S22 (:
I love my juniors!
haha. and syafiqah too! back in LIGNUM.
and and Kailun has now joined S10 and is now in lignum too which is hilarious since he used to laugh at the beaver mascot. HAH.
but its sad to see some juniors leaving lignum though :(
like angela! and of course our trademark michievious twins who never fail to bully me.

haha, after all its no easy feat to be the only class in nj history for no one in the class to at least PASS a test, according to simon tan.

So he asked to read it, and when he finished he laughed out and said:

but hey, if his biasness gets me more marks i honestly dont mind (:

Idiotic little syamil whacked my face at dance today accidentally.
haha. ouch. my entire lip swelled like mad.
but now the swelling subsided though (:
only to be replaced by a purplish bruise and some blood.
owww.
haha, great way to start the new term i swear.
hmmm dance today was really tiring.
it lasted pretty long, from 9am all the way to 245pm.
haha we looked so unglam after dance cos our hair was all soaked.
but hey, today's progress was good (:
the dance is starting to uh, have more substance (:
and finally its starting to last LONGER!
AND. it starting to look real nice too (:
I like subtlety a lot.

just got back from a nice dinner at east coast beach (:
the sun the sea the sand.
relaxing indeed.
took lotsa random pictures which are truly random so no i shall not post it up.
and saw people doing the waterskiing thing.
how fun (: and its only 30bucks an hour.
i shall try it when As end. *grin*
anyway, i found myself wondering, when did i stop going to the beach?
remembered how it was when i was little,
going to the beach every other day and making little sandcastles.
actually no, i never did like sandcastles at the beach,
i made "food" with the sand,
and insisted my dad eat it up (:
then as i grew older at about 5years old,
it became rollerblading at the beach with my aunt's oversized blades.
laughing merrily as me and my cousin stood on benches as we sang and danced pretending to be famous.
then it became the age where i loved to cycle,
and kept holding competitions with my dad to see who could cycle from one end of the beach to the jetty first.
funny how i always won.
guess now i know, he always let me win (:
sweet.
now? going to the beach is like some rareity.
when the moon turns blue perhaps.
guess growing up ain't so fun after all.

dance practice again as usual.
haha, this morning, the whole jcee team was so stoned after practice last night.
oh but dance was fun nonetheless.
EXCEPT aidan kept singing the dota song nonstop just to irritate me!
he's so hooked on the song!

the early bird catches the worm
Just got back from dance. Whee.
And in 7hours plus time i'll be back in school dancing again.
haha. We're started to eat sleep drink breathe LIVE dance now.
Concurrently helping kenneth check out his NUS personal statements.
wow, its freaking me out that this time next year,
I'll be the one writing them.
and sending them out.
and praying hard.
oh dear.
Everything's happening so fast.
I'm starting to feel old.
hmmm. today was fun.

Today's one of those spur-of-the-moment days.
Haha. yes celine, sounds familiar ya? (:
So. Started the day off with lit lecture in the morning.
which was extremely boring. and thus, me and jaf ended up yakking nonstop about YLS.
And speculating about AlexChuang.
LOL.
oh yes and Jaf started using tiff's hp to msg ian using my name (HUH)
Yeah, don't get it either. jaf ure weird!!! hahaha.
oh and we wanted to go to ian's house, but but he never replied rahhhh.
but he's quite sweet la, after when he woke up he said we could still go his house cos he doesnt mind *gringrin*
But by then, i was already at the busstop going off.
hmmm. actually supposed to go meet my mum but at the spur-of-the-moment,
I saw shubha and kat going to RELC to sign up for SATs!
So went along with them(: HAHA. It was pure hilariousness!
We freaking walked a whole big round to find RELC.
And were so grumpy and hungry!
And we ended up spending 1.5 hours filling up the SATS form!
freakky.
It was damn hard. haha.
If the form is liddat what would SATS BE LIKE HUH.
dang.
Went to ps to eat pasta after that.
We met up with clarinda (shub's mg fren)
and had a great time chatting and laughing (:
then i had to go off to carrefour to buy 8PACKSofMARSHMELLOWS, 8PACKSofSOAP and 2BOTTLESofREDBEANS for elects camp!
wahhh. 3 big bags. I looked like an idiot carrying them home!
haha. next time, they really shouldnt put 3 girls in charge of log comm la!

Many of the seniors came back-

whee.
We did the catepillar run thing in the morning!
haha. the sun was sorching!
then danced danced danced.
then we had...
TALENTIME!
my group was fantastic la, we wanted to slack and exchange various nj gossips
so we did the dejavu idea again for the item and wahaha gossiped our way through the prac time (:

Youth Leadership Summit
Went to ACSI for YLS today.
Haha it was really really fun and eventful!
Made plenty of new friends,
and like what ian cheong said,
it felt like orientation all over again. *beams*
First, let me tell you the story of the crazy girl who walked into the pond.
OKAY. DO NOT LAUGH.
I repeat, no laughing ok!

*Sam walks into a calf deep pond*
RAHHH.
Okay, that was qutie stupid.
haha but i honestly didnt see!
And now ACSI ppl think im a bimbo cos dear jaf told EVERYONE the story.
And said i was president of World Bimbo Organization. LOL.
Okay, now that the embarassing story is over and done with.
Chamber 12 rocks!

Me and Iancheong were partners as ministry of home affairs!
Chamber 12 is the coolest i tell you,
Almost immediately after starting, me and iancheong used the unmoderated caucus to convince EVERYONE to go against the hwachong guys just because one of them looked fat and pompous. HEH.
Whatever their bill is, just slam it(:
Great motto we had!
Soon it became the hwachongs vs us, the ministry of home affairs,
because we were the smart ones who started to slam them!
So yes, was quite stressful for me and iancheong cos we kept getting whacked!
but heck, it was hellava fun giggling at the pompous Hwachongs(:
EVEN the couriers were on the home affairs side with us!
This is IanCheong my home affairs partner!! Haha. We exchanged name tags. So now i currently own a name tag that reads IAN CHEONG wahaha it was so funny in the toilet when girls were puzzledly asking for my name. LOL.
Had a whole lot of fun today giggling and gossipin with all our newfound friends.
Apparently IanCheong is like the gossip central in ACS.
And I'm the gossip search engine in NJ.
SO HAHAHA. Partner us together and you get chaos!
Iancheong and Michelle have allowed me into their club!!
The gossip club or the eyes and ears club whatever you wanna call it!
BECAUSE. Apparently within the span of one day,
ive unravelled 4 scandals in acs just by observation.

Road Run today rocked.
Actually no, it wasnt road run itself that rocked, more specifically-
LIGNUM!
ahhhhhhhhhh. I love love love Lignum like crazy (:
A huge huge shoutout to all the fantastic Lignumites who completely owned and ran fantastic timings!
Another huge shoutout to every single for of you Lignumites who cheered like crazy and gave it your all.
I'm really really proud of all of you!
Oh yes. We got THIRD.
Nice beauutiful wonderful fantabulous orangey third.
Even with so many of our canoeist runners away!

i can't believe i can't remember 2007's mass dance much!
Although i know 2006's perfectly still.

okay. today was... a long and tramuatizing day thanks to my dearest CTs.
Oh but i found out how friendly NJCians are. Started the day off with going to school as usual. But woah. I saw an NJCian at the tanahmerah station! oh amazing. Another fellow Easter to add to the club. haha. what's more amazing is that at newton, he suddenly came up to me and said hi. And we went on doing the usual how's school how's tests where you live and how come you didnt go to vj huh sorta small talk. Insignificant, yet impactful. Cause it really is quite heartwarming when a random stranger talks to you because you're from the same school. NJ is friendly (: *grin* Bring out tha NJ spirit y'all!
Physics. Is. Horrible. I swear, physics makes all the other papers i've had over the past days seem like the easist ever. Lit too screwed me bad. Didn't read the book, was banking on a techniques question ( you can answer without knowledge of book actually) but it came out some stupid significance of ideas question that i honestly had nothing to write about since i dont know the bloody book. urgh.
Oh but reading Owen's poems was really touching. and heartbreaking. and tear-inducing. rahh. im so affected by his poems! Smiling they wrote his lie. mmmm.
pre-lit period was fun too. mugging with kelly in the canteen turned out to be a blasting songs on her handphone and sing-a-long session. yeah. we really rock (:
and kelly says isnt it weird westlife had to name their single BOP BOP BABY.
heh. we laughed at its cheesiness for a good half hour.
After lit, Sam has utterly no life. haha. took a bus with kelly, and i alighted at orchard. Winston the idiotic late one was still happily in the library which meant i had to wander around orchard for 45mins alone! ! ! ! rahhh. but was busy talking to track people and the other 5 captains nonstop (my handphone bills!) oh oh i bought cute adidas earrings. haha. its fake la, but it matches my bag and jacket and sweater and shorts... haha. i seem to be an adidas fan eh. Went for econs after that OMG MS STACY TAN IS NOW TEACHING THERE. wow. was still thinking how much i'll miss her last week when she left. guess i'll still get to see her (:
after econs, went off to meet my parents and had nice dinner at pizza walker. whee (:
alrights and now im off to do cheer sheets and position paper for the youth leadership summit thing. my entry rambles on today. HAH. tata.

okay. today was... a long and tramuatizing day thanks to my dearest CTs.
Oh but i found out how friendly NJCians are. Started the day off with going to school as usual. But woah. I saw an NJCian at the tanahmerah station! oh amazing. Another fellow Easter to add to the club. haha. what's more amazing is that at newton, he suddenly came up to me and said hi. And we went on doing the usual how's school how's tests where you live and how come you didnt go to vj huh sorta small talk. Insignificant, yet impactful. Cause it really is quite heartwarming when a random stranger talks to you because you're from the same school. NJ is friendly (: *grin* Bring out tha NJ spirit y'all!
Physics. Is. Horrible. I swear, physics makes all the other papers i've had over the past days seem like the easist ever. Lit too screwed me bad. ohmyMATH
math is a horrible four-letter word.
I should get those alarm clocks that refuse to snooze.
So i won't end up setting my alarm at 4 (to study math) and snoozing all the way to schoolgoingtime.
rahhh.
math wasn't good. three hours is honestly too long for us to concentrate without our brains starting to fuzz.
and i'm extremely distracted by the actions of all the people around me as integration and vectors content start to fly right out of the window. HAH.

I GOT BACK MY RESULTS SLIP!!
*beams* im putting it next to my study table for motivation haha.
Went off to Singpost with winston for an unhealthy macs lunch. oooh it reminds me of tk days! Going off to singpost after school then going back for cca aor something. i miss tk!

fuzzy
oh.
today was a bad day. headache ever since i woke up.
but guess i cant blame my body. its the horrible way i treat it-
like like having a dripping flu the whole of yesterday but not taking meds (it'll mess my brain for CTs) and not sleeping despite feeling really drowsy and dunking down cups of black coffee and swallowing pills that are supposed to increase concentration.
No wonder my brain's all fuzzed up today. and yes, i just puked spectacularly into the toilet bowl thanks to that stupid cab ride home.
econs? oh i dont know. it was fuzzy i suppose.
Now off to clear the fuzziness with solid downtoearth math. Thanks for the divine help winston. HAHA. maybe, just maybe i might pass (:

icytowering
ohwhatthehell i give up. economics is one hellava unfathomable subject especially when the notes are so... all over the place.
playing icytower is so much more rewarding.
like how they flash words like "AMAZING" when you do a particularly stunning bounce off the wall jump.
funny how i always end up icytowering on the eve of econs tests. or social studies for that matter.
maybe its designed for anxiety-ridden people.
ah. shall go back to econs later. like maybe evening time after i've played enough and eaten. HAH. this totally defeats the point of waking at 8 to do econs doesnt it.

hello its early in the morning on the eve of econs test and here i am staring at the overwhelming pile of econs notes thinking its simply horrible.
it would be at least better perhaps if the notes had the info we need? but oh no. I searched through everything, and that's so much crap missing from the notes that we need for essays. especially chapter 8. LOOK AT IT. a whole load of crap. The info in it- we barely use for essays except for the multiplier.
Now where the hell do we get the real stuff we need for our essays?!?
urgh. i'm so pissed with life now.

reflections
Am currently wearing that tk green oversized cucumber shirt that falls to my knees. yes, the cucumber shirt. Remember that one? The one we bought XXXL from baleno and spray painted it with white stripes so that it resembles cucumbers for zany parade? yeah. For some reason tonight felt like a night to bring back past memories. oh wells.
but before we get to the serious stuff let me first comment on the lit paper today.
utter nonsense. i really should have just studied econs yesterday and today instead of trying to learn lit.
and the gym was snow-city-like. my butt was freezing.
alrights now to the more serious stuff.
Alevel results today. wow. guess im feeling pretty affected by it all. Seeing all the seniors back in school again.
Seeing those with good results smile while those disappointed cry.
Makes you think, really, how do you want to feel next year this time?
happy or sad?
It seems as if reality strikes for the first time.
Study hard now. Its not to late to want to smile next year. and to shed only the tears of joy.
So i started my day off with... a long conversation with michelle. (thanks to kelvin who was late) yes, no mugging. just talking to my dearest dajie and making her feel better. Rushed off to school and was late to collect chinese results. Had lunch with mich kelvin marcus (or rather they watched me eat) then went off for lit. after lit, found out my chinese grades. [okay, i must really say that im quite shocked with my results. Those who are in my chinese class or hear me speak chinese like a kantang should understand, my chinese is quite... horrifying. yes, but but i got an A and a distinction for oral so yes, im really thankful (: ]
went off to mos to eat dinner. uhhhh. wanted to mug but ended up crapping for quite a while with winston instead. haha what in the world do we talk about?! oh. there was this really cute little brothers next to us. awww. went for tuition, then came home. talked to michelle again and chatting with kelvin. HAHA and and me and xueyuan are currently motivating each other to mug hard till As. *grin* hope it works.
To my seniors: Whatever happens, you know im always there for you guys okay? Chin up. Its not as bad as you think. The point now is to look forward. One day when you're some rich succeessful person with hordes of grandchildren, you're gonna look back at laugh at this one little setback in you life and tell your grandkids that it pays to climb back up when one falls. Stay positive. Jiayou (:
And kennethfoofangwei you bloody genius, i must say well done. Didnt i tell you last night that you'll get fantastic crazy genius results? my lit instincts are spot on as usual (: congrats on that six distinctions. i must say im proud to have such a good friend like you SMARTASS. haha (:

oh yes, blogging is supposed to be my stress reliever. lalala.
firstly, good luck to all my dear seniors recieving results tml -

secondly, celeste's mention of destress vs distress reminds me once again of how my seniors tried to destress me during my Os release and only succeeded in distressing me even more from the vivid descriptions of how the whole results slip will look like. Lucky for them, i can't return the favour since i myself havent gotten As results before (:

ah well. it would be nice to exceed everyone's expectations of my horrible chinese (cos of the weird way i speak it hmph) and do well. hopefully.

So question 12 it is. I wrote my usual style despite knowing that in NJ the teachers sorta hate my whole informal slang and full of sacarsm and rhetorical questions and crappy jokes style and consequently penalize me heavily for it.
Can't write any other way without sounding utterly boring. rahh. Hope i don't fail (:
