BLACK CHICKEN


okay its been confirmed. sam officially resembles a BLACK chicken at this current moment.


actually scratch that, i'm in the transition from flaming red to black so make that a BLOODIED BLACK CHICKEN.


all thanks to jiahui who woke up LATE so we had to swim in the sun. and then promptly forgot the SUN BLOCK.


grrr. and she was actually skeptical when i told her about my super EFFICIENT skin pigments. ah well she realised how wrong she was when she saw the blackified sam after the swim.


look on the bright side. at least now i can walk around in my sports shorts, track shoes and nike bag without looking like a complete fakeo. :)


on a LIGHTER (literally) note, i just spent the day packing my room again. and this was what i found:


1. 3 leftover tokens from FUNWORLD. the old one at parkway last time. gosh, that was ages ago why am i still keeping them?!?


2. extremely extremely lame compos and stories i've written over the years. ive noticed the younger me liked to write about dinosaurs hiding in volcanoes. gosh.


3. a HUGE HUGE collection of westlife 5566 and f4 photos. gosh was i really that boy-band crazy last time? of course the whole pile went into the dustbin eeks!


4. an entire stack of all the christmas cards bdae cards and letters that i've recieved since pri school. wow, it was so sweet reading them all and reliving all those fantastic memories...


no 4 almost made me cry actually. all the lovely things your frens were willing to do for you. wow its times like this when u realise just how much you love all your friends. love ya all darlings! i'll cherish all those cards forever.

i'm sick. the flu i suppose. oh well guess that's the price to pay for playing so much the past week.


but u know i believe in reverse psychology... kind of ... which is why i still have a swimming date with jiahui tml morning haha. :)


im feeling sad. aneesa left for india this morning and wont be back till around christmas. sobsob that, on top of disha in india till about christmas too, has left me short of TWO PLAYMATES.


aneesa's leaving means i wont be able to sms anyone about any hot guy i see on the street. nor will i recieve any such smses for that matter. sob. who's gonna amuse me when im feeling down?


disha's leaving means i wont be able to just call her up at any whim and ask her to go cycling with me. sob. who's gonna amuse me when i'm feeling bored?


i'm missing the two of them already. hurry come back ya? got so much to do ice-skating, tennis lessons, windsurfing, cycling . . . hurry hurry!! :)

i know i know, did we just watch it in school the other day? but nvm, for the sake of watching my two favourite boys, i wont mind watching the show again. NOT AT ALL :)


i figured if the ratings for this is good, channel U will show more of these two hotties.


so fellow hysterical/boy-crazy females who go ga-ga over edison and shaun pls DO turn on your tV tonite. :)


and dont forget to wipe the drool off the tv screen after the show. :)

Prom Happenings!


yawn. i'm tired. but i realized i havent updated bout prom yet so i just had to do it!
actually i was supposed to update yesterday but after seeing disha off at the airport i was beat. plus i only came online for 5 mins before my cuz tarted threatening to yank my hair off if i dont go play game of life with him.


to be precise it wasnt the SEEING OFF that made me tired. more like the part where me jiahui disha and my 8 year old cuz ran round and round the airport pushing each other on the trolley.! :) haha i know this is the part where some ppl like AIN for eg will go: sam act your age!! then we met clara (TAN, the smurf one!) and my 8 year old cuz thinks she's... a SEXYAEE LAYDEEE. yup he's half her age and clara calls him a .. growing MAN. oh well guess it has to do with the fact that he's so tall he's almost her height :):) hahaha.


okayy enuff of mindless crapping. THE PROM. well actually it was... kinda a flop. the event that is. but being together with all your frens again that was what made it fun! i think the emcees suck. they sound like they spend most of their time being anti-fun campaigners or something. plus they kept asking us to stop taking photos. not to mention their sucky english. the shcool should have just saved the $$ and gotten hassan to emcee the whole night :)


anyways apart from the lousy emcees i enjoyed myself tremendously :)


1. being with all your friends for one of the last few times ever?


2. taking tons and tons of photos with all your frens! ( i'll post the photos once i learn how to connect the bloody thing into my com ya?)


3. there were no embarassing moments where my bra dropped out. none. zilch. :):):)


4. this is worth celebrating: I DID NOT FALL! yup darlings the pacing in the kitchen thing paid off! in fact jia hui even said i looked very nice walking in my heels. ah well it just shows doesn't it? you might have never tried it but you just have this natural talent. . . . =]


5. the food was not bad.


6. I WON AN ENTIRE STEREO SET!! with radio/mp3/cd/cassette abilities. yup i'm pretty lucky to have won the second best prize but .... i was praying so hard to get the best prize the digi cams!!! yes i actually cursed when my no was called for the stereo! but nvm, i'll just bring the stereo to cash converters and use the cash to get a digi cam :):)


7. i love my friends! yes i do. in fact im gonna dedicate an entire entry to all my frens with all the thankews i love yous i miss yous and whatnot. but not now. my eyes are shutting.( yes even in the afternoon!) that entry needs me to be in a sane state of mind. :)

yes its prom wow its finally here.


i'm excited yet... i dunnoe why i'm feeling this pang of sadness too.


actually maybe i do know why. after today we arent gonna be tkgians anymore are we?


suddenly its like everything is moving like a fast forward movie.


i'll miss everyone.


hopefully i wont end up crying tonight ( tho i most likely will)


i dont HAVE waterproof make-up.


hopefully i dont fall either. or i would have wasted all my efforts pacing my kitchen in my heels.

Pre-prom jitters!!


i cannot believe this.


i think my luck really really sucks. Tml's prom already and guess what i found out when i woke up?


my left eye has suddenly for no reason at all turned swollen and all single eye-lidish.


urgh this is so unfair. what did i do to deserve this?? stupidstupidstupid.


okay fine maybe i am a teeny weeny bit at fault. i have been missing a LOT of sleep the entire week.


but still. couldn't this have happened AFTER prom ya know?


not only that. sam has finally tried practising in her new high heels today.


oh god you wont BELIEVE how many times i paced up and down my kitchen. 23 TIMES. and i take 11 paces each time which brings me to a grand total of....


253 STEPS. wobbly ones of course.


plus several neighbours from the opp block kept giving me weird looks.

so i started READING and walking so that at least i look like some super smart scholar like Li Bai who paces while studying.


bad idea. i became EVEN wobblier. now the thought bubbles read: " why is this DRUNK girl so in love with her kitchen tiles?"

hopefully i'll be able to WALK properly tml. i DO NOT want a repeat of the no 1 incident in my top ten most embarassing moments. yes it was the one where i fell off the bus and landed face down ...

and i still havent gotten a bra for tml. yes forgot all about it till jiahui reminded me this evening. i NEED transparent straps.


and dont even bother asking me to go strapless. the last time i did this it was during this dance performance thing at kallang threatre.( no 2 on the top ten embarassing list!) by halfway through the dance, my tube had already dropped to my waist.


and the few guys at the side wings pissed themselves laughing. and ME being onstage couldn't shoot them ANY eye daggers.


i DO NOT want a repeat of that. so yes i better get some transparent straps. lets see, tml?!?

whee. went to orchard with kim and jiahui today and watched harry potter!!!


nice nice nice. i think this new director is the best of the lot. but i cant stand the way he changed so much stuff from the book tho.


plus i hate katie leung!!! what were the producers thinking?!?! putting such an ugly stupid and fake girl as cho chang?!?!


and cho's supposed to be pretty.

okay fine i shall be HONEST here since this is my so called journal isnt it?


Katie Leung isnt ugly. its just that you know its not FAIR that she gets to kiss harry potter. plus she gets to dance with cedric!!!

shopping shopping shopping

i know i know. yesterdae i was complaining like CRAZY that i was tired. but did sam stay at home to rest today? NO she jusT HAD to go out shopping AGAIN!

actually its not really my fault. after gyming with jiahui today the sole of my nike shoe came off (sob sob i lurvveee that pair of shoes!!!) so i HAD to go buy a new pair right? i mean i cant exactly walk around WITHOUT shoes!!


EXACTLY. okayy now is NOT the time to mention that i have 5 other pairs of track shoes issit?? but the point is i dont exactly like those shoes. its only wise to wear shoes thati like right?

i know im right.

and since i WAS out like already it would also be wiser to do OTHER stuff other than getting shoes right? yes so i watched JUST LIKE HEAVEN and it was GREAT!!! fantastic one of the most romantic movies EVER.

only downside is that mark raffulo is NOT cute. oh well, nevermind im watching harry potter tml. i can ALWAYs drool over cedric. :)

I'm tired

you know how it is. before the exams you keep thinking okay i'm not getting enuff sleep but nevermind i'll rest once the exams are over.

nonsense.

because once the exams are over you are so busy playing that you dont bother to rest!! yes its true! which is why im soooo tired.

take yesterday for example. went running with jia hui at the crack of dawn. then straightaway went out shopping for accessories and shoes. walked and walked and walked. so tiring still cant find anything! then just as i was about to give up, met up with disha and spent more time walkng around trying to find a prom dress, i mean outfit for her. eeks, she's so fussy! (plus she simply REFUSES to wear a dress!) anyway in the end instead of getting shoes i went to buy three sports bras ( pink orange black!). i know im pathetic. spent an ENTIRE day and couldnt get shoes!!

then today. woke up with ACHING MUSCLES everywhere. but no still met up with jia hui to go gyming. Jiahui's my darling fitness partner now! jia you babe! haha and we started off with like a 2.4 run before doing all the rest. so tiring! but did i rest when i got home? no, i HAD to just go out shopping AGAIN! got a roxy skirt, addidas shorts and . . .

my shoes!!! yes! i shall practise tml :):) im such a hardworking girl! *ahem*

sam is such a modest girl too. :)

i need SLEEP!! night.

yup yup darlings sam got her dress!! to think i actually put aside 4 days to get it when i got it in 30 mins!! im soooo proud of meeself!! :):)

tried waking my daddy up to go cycling with me but he's so STUBBORN!! so i woke disha up and made her go cycling with me! hee im so mean!
altho i woke up really early, by the time i went her house then ate breakfast at starbucks it was like practically noon!!

after cycling went ballet then of course went shopping to get my dress!


funfunfun day. no studying is SUPERB. wish everyday could be like that.

lalala. i'm happyhapyhappy! yes! went to ben n jerry's after the paper today. fun and yummy! me kim disha ain aneesa and jia hui. actually we went to swensen's THEN to ben n jerry's . and NO we did NOT eat ice cream and both places ( are we tt lame?!?!) ben n jerry's was great! until me and disha started trying to gross ain out talking bout vomiting the ice cream.

now that the Os are over, the NEXT BIG THING is the PROM.

in one week's time i have to:

2.get makeup?
3.buy heels.
4.LEARN how to walk in heels!!!


yes i know many ppl will be gasping at no 4 and saying " sam, how can u have not worn heels before!!" i know cos i've heard that tons of times already! but seriously, issit that much of a crime to havent worn heels before? besides i have really really good reasons.


1. how am i supposed to run in heels?? come on, im ALWAYS running late. and running for the bus is like a tradition of mine already! i'll be even later if i wear heels!


2. i like wearing track shoes. yes i can run jump hop basically do anything!


3. okay, i have really big feet. how am i supposed to get shoes?!?! like hello??


4. okaayyy, i'll admit it. i'm a natural born klutz. despite having big feet ( increase base area to increase stability) and learning ballet since the age of three i am STILL a klutz. just ask ain, the numerous times i've burnt myself or exploded stuff in the science lab!!


so you see, i have PERFECTLY good reasons not to have worn heels for the past sixteen years.
eeks, which means im starting to do so in like a week's time?!?
uh oh i really gotta practise. i'll just pace my kitchen up and down when i get my shoes! IF i can find shoes.
